There’s no more hiding and denying for rumored new couple, Country music’s sweetheart Taylor Swift and British heartthrob Harry Styles as the two were spotted holding hands while leaving Swift’s hotel in New York City last Thursday.
In the past week, Harry and Taylor had been photographed together all over New York but it seems like no one is confirming whether they are indeed a couple or just good friends. Although last Thursday, the alleged new couple was once again spotted together leaving Swift’s hotel in NYC looking more romantic as they held each other’s hands.
Dressing for the NY’s freezing weather, Taylor bundled herself with a khaki trench coat, a tartan scarf, black tights and patent brogues while her rumored boyfriend was dresses in his usual t-shirt, skinny jeans and boots attire yet this time, he paired his outfit it with a black coat with a fur collar to brave the cold. The 18-year old Harry looked very protective of Taylor as he tightly held her hand while they walk through the horde of paparazzi eager to capture a photo of them.
During their Thursday night out, Swift and Style attended a friend’s birthday party in the hotel’s Crosby Bar as they were joined by Emma Stone, Dianna Agron and about a dozen guests. Party observes said that Taylor help to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ while the cake was served to the celebrator.
A source then shared to PEOPLE that “Taylor and Harry [were] being very smoochie. They definitely [looked] like a couple.” The source also adds that Swift and Style were really sweet during the event, holding each other’s hands and that the ‘One Direction’ band member is “really protective of her” as he kept his arms around Swift almost the entire time they were at the party.
Aside from their holding hands PDA (Public Display of Affection – to those who are not aware what this means), the pop stars also shared lots of kisses and were not shy at all to showcase their affection as the source explained that “They’re not trying to hide it. The bar was packed.”
The rumor about Swift and Styles dating first started when U.S X Factor host, Mario Lopez, said last month that he saw Taylor and Harry holding hands backstage of the U.S. X Factor show. Then on Dec. 2, the duo finally stepped out together publicly (joined by their entourage) as they happily stroll through New York’s iconic Central Park. It was also last week that Harry was spotted a number of times coming out from Swift’s hotel; therefore fueling more fire into their alleged love affair.
Although Styles if 4 years younger than Swift, the country singer explained on her recent Cosmopolitan interview that “I really don’t have any rules about dating when it comes to height, age, career choice, anything like that. ‘It doesn’t matter. It’s really more about strength of character. When it comes to age I’ve been all over the map!”
